Terms of service

Effective 1 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of randbridge.org (the “site”), an interface for moving USDT and USDC between Ethereum, BNB Chain, Tron, Solana and Rand Protocol through the Rand bridge. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Beta software on a test network

The bridge has not been externally audited, and the Rand side is a test network that may be reset. A reset can make zUSD on Rand unspendable. Only bridge what you can afford to lose.

2. The site does not hold your funds

The site never holds your keys or your funds. Every transaction is built in your browser and signed by your own wallet; tokens you deposit are locked in the bridge's smart contracts, and zUSD is issued on Rand by the Rand chain itself. You are solely responsible for your wallets, keys and recovery phrases.

3. Transfers are final

A confirmed blockchain transaction cannot be reversed or cancelled, by you or by us. Check the network, the token, the amount and the addresses before you sign. A deposit sent to a Rand address you do not control, or a withdrawal sent to a wrong or unsupported address, cannot be recovered.

4. How transfers complete, and when they may wait

A deposit is delivered after the source chain finalises it, the bridge's guardians sign it and the relayer submits it to Rand. A transfer may be delayed or held, for example while the source chain finalises, when a per-transfer or daily limit is reached, when Rand does not yet have your full Rand address, or while the bridge is paused for maintenance, an upgrade or a security reason. The bridge operator may pause the bridge or any route at any time. The site shows what it knows about a transfer's progress but does not guarantee delivery times.

5. Fees and limits

You pay each network's own transaction fees. The bridge's fee, and the per-transfer and daily limits, are shown on the site before you sign and may change. Currently Rand keeps 0.1% of a deposit when it mints and 0.1% of a withdrawal when it burns, taken in zUSD.

6. Your responsibilities

  • You use only wallets and funds that you own or are authorised to use.
  • You comply with the laws and regulations that apply to you, including on sanctions and taxes.
  • You do not use the site for unlawful activity, and you do not attack, overload or interfere with the site or the bridge.

7. Risks

Using a bridge carries risks, including defects in smart contracts or software, failures of the guardians, the relayer or the networks involved, chain reorganisations, wallet software errors, and changes to the value or availability of the bridged tokens, which are issued by third parties. You accept these risks.

8. Third-party services

The site relies on services we do not control, such as wallets, blockchain nodes, WalletConnect and Cloudflare. We are not responsible for them; their own terms apply.

9. No warranty

The site and the bridge are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing on the site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators and contributors of the site and the bridge are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of funds, data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the site or the bridge.

11. Privacy

How the site handles data is described in the privacy policy.

12. Changes

We may change these terms. The new text is published on this page with a new effective date, and applies to use of the site after that date.
